Clinical Simulation & Interactive Decision Tools
Interactive hemodynamic calculators, rapid assessment decision matrixes, and cardiac physiology models based on Unit 6 lecture content.
Tripartite Clinical Assessment Diagnostic Wizard
Answer the three fundamental questions of cardiac nursing to evaluate patient stability and identify primary failure domain.
1. Is the Heart Pumping Effectively?
Check current hemodynamic indicators:
2. Is Blood Reaching the Tissues?
Check peripheral arterial perfusion:
3. Are Tissues Receiving Oxygen?
Check systemic metabolic status:
Assessment Diagnosis & Action Plan
Systemic Perfusion AdequateParameters indicate stable hemodynamic equilibrium. Heart pump function, peripheral delivery, and tissue oxygenation are preserved.
• Re-evaluate urine output trends and pulse character.
Heart Rate vs. Stroke Volume Hemodynamic Model
Formula: Cardiac Output ($CO$) = Stroke Volume ($SV$) × Heart Rate ($HR$).
Note how extreme tachycardia severely curtails diastolic filling time, dropping stroke volume and overall perfusion!
Hemodynamic Response Curve
The 6 Ps Bedside Rapid Assessment Checklist
Acute arterial occlusion requires urgent evaluation to prevent limb loss. Select present findings:
No Acute Occlusion Indicated
Select the presence of signs above to calculate urgency and immediate nursing action priority.
